Registration: beginning at 6:30 AM

ENTRY FEE:
Postmarked by August 13th:  $20
Entries postmarked after the 13th and race day: $25

AWARDS & AGE GROUPS:
Overall 5K & 10K Champions: Female & Male will recieve $100.00 cash prize and medals.

5K Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,
50-59, 60 & over.

10K Age Groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,
50-59, 60 & over

Engraved Medals: Will be awarded to top 3 place finishers in each age division.

HERO 2010 Scholarship Program

The Huxley Enhancement & Recreational Organization (H.E.R.O) will be awarding one or more $500 scholarships to Ballard high schools seniors who will be graduating this academic year. The scholarships are designed to assist graduating seniors in pursing a post-secondary education at any accredited institution which provides a two- or four- year college program or vocational training. The scholarship may be used for any school related expenses such as tuition, fees and books.

Eligible applicants must meet the following guidelines to be considered by the selection committee:

  • Must be accepted by an accredited college, university or community college.
  • Must have an expected high school graduation date of Spring 2010.
  • Must be a student in the Ballard Community School District.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

NEW HERO Community Betterment Grant program!

We are pleased to announce the HERO Community Betterment Grant program.  The grant program will give Ballard community groups, like yours, the opportunity to apply for grant funding to support programs and initiatives for your group throughout the year.   There is no minimum or maximum level of funding to be requested – just let us know what you need and we will see how we can help!
